Fixing the Stuff Around Me

Have you ever felt compelled by the mess or disorganized things around you? Have you ever tried fixing it on your own? What were your thoughts while doing so? Here is something that I fixed today and my feelings while doing so.

Well, yes… My bedside is usually this messy. It’s not my fault that I like my things at arm’s distance. I can easily find and reach them. But the downfall is, it can get a little messy as you can see.

But not today!

Bye-bye mess! And hello, my organized fellas.

There’s an obvious benefit of organizing or fixing the stuff around you, you get to have a reflection on your life.

While organizing my bedside, I had a flashbulb moment. I remembered when I first started reading novels and how I loved the thrill of not knowing what was going to happen next. I remember the first thriller I read, Die Again by Tess Gerritsen, and how I have been hooked on mystery, thriller, and forensic science.

Coming from a humble background, I never thought I would have enough command of English to read novels and write blogs about it. The sense of achievement, the realization that I have come so far is pure euphoria.

Had I not been assigned to do so, I might have never realized how important these small activities are. They make you a leader in your everyday activities, sometimes without even you realizing it.

This small activity made me feel so grateful for all I have achieved and how far I have come. Sometimes, we humans are so hard on ourselves that we don’t realize how hard we work every day to be what we are today. Please take some time from your lives, and have a moment to reflect on your life and experiences. I can assure you, you will love yourself.
