Jam cookies are made with a simple sugar cookie dough and filled with your favorite jam. Soft and chewy, they make a delightful addition to any cookie tray any time of the year. Cookies with a dollop of your favorite jam, minimal ingredients and pantry staples make an irresistible treat to share with family and friends. Use whatever jam you have in your fridge to make these delicious sweet treats.

The cookie dough comes together quickly and is firm to roll into balls. No chilling is required. Roll the balls with your hands until they are smooth to ensure that no lines or cracks are in the dough. Press the balls with the palm of your hands. Use a clean cork to press the center of the cookie for a perfect shape to fill up with your favourite jam. You can use any variety of jam or preserves you prefer, although strawberry and apricot are popular options. Baking the cookies with the jam will allow them to settle and firm up in the cookie when they cool. When paired with coffee or tea, these Jam Cookies make a delicious snack, breakfast or dessert!
