Electronic or electromechanical devices that convert AC (alternating current) from one frequency to another are known as frequency converters or frequency changers. Carriers can also use the converters to give airborne divider current to travelers for use with tablets etc. In renewable energy frameworks, frequency converters are a staple segment of double-boost acceptance generators used as part of today’s multi-megawatt class wind turbines.

Frequency converters are commonly used to control the speed of motors, mainly pumps and fans. The most demanding application ranges are found in modern preparation lines, where control precision needs can be high. This is especially true in the atomic energy and weapons industry, where these devices control the operation of refinement shafts.
